Vortex bbmg [continue build after i stopped a year ago]

so basically, if anyone remembers me from a year or two ago, i was building a bbmg

at first i was gonna build a cloud but then found an inline vortex works much more efficiently

after i gave up on building my gun because i had no spring, i have once again decided to continue building this gun

instead of using a spring, i decided to just make the gun like this in the diagram below

This allows me to only hold a limited amount of bb's which i do not mind

If you guys have any suggestions or w.e please comment

so why did you put the block of wood infront of the vortex block?

otherwise good work

looks good but i think you should make another one with a gravity fed mechanism such as this(to increase capacity) http://www.burntlatke.com/jpg600/bb-graph.jpg with a shroud around the vortex block to prevent jamming

If you use steel BBs then they will certainly wear on that wooden block after a while. Other than that it doesn't look too bad, good luck.

Why not use epoxy or bondo or metal for the vortex block?

@c11man
its so i dont have to use a spring to knock all the bb's back to the vortex block

with that wood blocking the chanber, when i fill bb's into my gun ...

@spudtyrrant
i do not plan on investing anymore money on parts so yeah
yeah, i will add the shroud for sure to the block

@noname
i do not use steel bb's but thanks for the heads up

@Mr.Sandman
what do you mean use epoxy on the block? like when i insert it into the chamber?

@toall
do you think my vortex block is too small?
the block fits perfectly (snuggly and tight) into the 1.5" DWV abs pipe
the diameter of the hole is 1"
and should i cut down some of the sides of the block

and THANK you for those who replied

Also you might want a longer barel. It will increase accuracy.

@Mr.Sandman
i don't have a barrel yet =[

btw should the barrel by the exact diameter of the bb's, i shoot .6mm bbs

You mean 6mm not .6mm and no not the EXACT diameter. But you want to be as close as possible.

Since you're using a full hole on your vortex block, I would suggest using shrouds, otherwise you will get the performance of a glorified cloud gun.

yeah i will get the shroud for sure

btw my vortex block aint too small right
