Vortex Cap VS. Inline

How does a inline vortex compare to a vortex cap in power. At 60 psi

A vortex cap will have slightly more power because of the chamber size is smaller and there is no wasted space. (most of the air is focused at the vortex rather than filling up the chamber space around the vortex block.)
But as far as a difference, there really isnt much of one.

Honestly, you can't answer that. It's a ridiculous question which is just too vague to give an actual answer.
He gives no mention to chamber size, barrel length, barrel bore, ammunition, vortex size, etc.
Any "answer" will just be random crap really.

actually yes, I can answer that question.
Vortex Caps are 3/4", even if they were a different size it wouldn't matter. They have less chamber space because they use the shape of the chamber itself as the vortex block which doesn't require a block itself. The shape of the block takes up space since its a block inside a chamber.
If the vortex caps dimension are the same as the vortex blocks vortex hole, than the vortex cap will always have less of a chamber volume and therefore increased power.
But as I said above, the difference is not really noticeable since the difference is chamber volume is not that great.
My answer is if the vortex cap was the same size as the vortex hole in the vortex block. and if both chambers are the length with the same projectile, same barrel.
I am just stating vortex cap against vortex block given the same "variables".
Another way to look at it is like this, "given the typical way you fire an inline vortex BBMG, with the same size vortex block and barrel and ammo.. one with a 3inch chamber will have less power than one with a 2inch chamber. (a vortex cap with the same size vortex "circle" as a inline vortex block will always have smaller volume inside its chamber than a inline BBMG given they are the same length)

A block taking up space equals less chamber volume, no? I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, I'm just trying to get an idea of where you're coming from.

The question is moot, configuration will not really affect power, it's really got to do with rate of fire and feeding reliability. If you want to visibly increase power, reduce chamber volume, increase pressure and barrel length.

A block does take up space, but it leaves more empty space on the sides of the block, not to mention the overall larger diameter of the chamber.

Also, a block doesn't leave empty space to the sides of the chamber if you fill the gun up all the way.

I'm talking empty space without BBs... both designs will be filled with BBs. I am talking chamber volume which is used to hold the BBs.
Yes I know inline vortex's can be made small, Im just saying because they are a block inside a chamber, they cant be as small as a block being the chamber itself.
