Following from this idea for a powerful auto with a reasonable rate of fire without a complex reciprocating valve system, herewith a prototype:

Medium pressure test videos below, as you can see it has to be tweaked for reliable feeding but the power is not to be scoffed at. Also, this is at around 450 psi, the regulator on the paintball tank can go up to 850 psi so even more destruction can be expected (when I build up enough courage to turn it up ). One thing the camera doesn't show is how insanely loud it is, not as much as my pop-off autos but still a strain on the ears.

Lighter fuel can with 0.5mm aluminium backplate, it kept being blown over by the blast because I was too close.

Computer power supply, no penetration yet but its time will come when I up the pressure note how it didn't jam in this one, I think I had turned up the flow from the tank fully

This was the basic idea, pressure washer handle + 3000 psi 13 inch³paintball tank:



+ 3/8" ball bearings the brass tube in the picture is 3/8" external diameter and was used as a mandrel for the cast epoxy barrel

Now slap on a tubemag and and your 1-3 bursts can increase to 20-30. Why care about reloading if it fixes all the shaking? Keep tweakin'!

edit: No go I'm afraid, turns out doubling the pressure was a little too much for the tank-trigger connection, it started to leak. Time to get the epoxy out *sigh*

Take a milk jug, punch a hole for the barrel n stuff, put the gun in, fill with epoxy, cure, go 850 psi.

what the presure handle started to leak at 850 what it presure rated to?

Not 850psi. They should be able to take quite alot though.

presure washerers normaly are on 3000psi and industrial are 4500psi

I love it! I had an Amiga 500 mouse exactly like it! Then the Amiga went kaput & got rid of it.

I am inspired, going to harbor freight & getting some el cheapo stuff to make my own in 6.5mm!

(I don't want destruction, I just want a blower gun!)

The pressure washer valve wasn't leaking, that's rated at 2200 psi.

The pressure washer fitting is 3/8", but the valve I have on the paintball tank is 1/8", so I epoxied a 1/8" nipple (the bit you can see here covered with a grey pipe) in place but didn't support it enough so it sprung a small leak. All repaired now, as I should have done it in the first place, to be re-tested when I'm confident it's fully cured

We just threw out our 500, it was taking up too much room

I like the curve you kept at the bottom of the handle for no obvious reason...

The bottle and handle combo is golden.You can power all kinds of designs with it.

Well, did some testing at 850 psi. Reliability is still an issue, but bloody hell, the power! And the NOISE! My ears are still ringing

Unfortunately, the muzzle end of the barrel objected at some point and shattered, so I was forced to do a BtB and hack off a couple of inches also, check out the (macro ) view of the 3/8" bearings damaged by impact.

I just drooled all over my keyboard...

Amazing work, Jack! I've always wanted to see someone make a large caliber BBMG-ish gun!
