Question for math people...

Is there a way to figure out how much pressure a volume of air will be in a bigger chamber compared to how much it will be in a smaller chamber? For example, say you have 30psi in a 10 cubic inch chamber, and you transfer all of that air into a 1900 cubic inch chamber. How much would the pressure be in the 1900 ci chamber? Actually, I am specifically asking about this because I want to know how many shots I can get in a very small hybrid from a disposable oxy cylinder.

i think by thermo dynamics the equation PV=nRT will work. someone else might double check.

As long as you let the temperature equalise in both tanks you will basicaly get: P1V1=P2V2
So in your case 0.16psi... (and V2=10+1900Ci as I'm assuming you're just opening a valve between the two tanks)

Agree.

Do you know how to use a formula? just do the volume of the inital chamber times the pressure, get that number, and divide it by the new chamber size, and you have your new pressure, or divide it by your new pressure, and get your new desired chamber size.
