I-15 HPA

A while back I threw together a BBmg around a HPA system. Unfortunately aesthetics were quite lacking and after some use the swivel joint on the remote snapped rendering it unsafe. I decided to completely scrap the old shell and start over.

I came up with this BBmg. It has most of the same parts as the old one but, it is a much cleaner design. This design is coaxial which allows it to be quite compact.(Not sure if this has been done before.) It is only 18 inches long. It employs an adjustable hop-up system. To counteract the leakage I have encountered from blowguns under high pressure I bought a push button valve from McMasters. The magazine cap is held on by a locking mechanism. The body is formed from melted PVC pipe and the serrated muzzle guard was made with my dremal.

I am unable to give an exact muzzle velocity but, I did try the can penetration test.http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... ulletID=34 Judging from the fact that it penetrated the top and the continued on to penetrate the side I estimate a 650 Fps .2 BB at 700 PSI.

Wow now there's some power! Looks very good. I'm guessing it's a vortex? I'm pretty sure that your design has been done. If I make another I'm gonna make it with this design.

Not bad for performance and much cleaner than your previous monstrosity :D shame you're using plastic BBs

btw deathbyDWV, our signatures appear to have come from the same source :P ;)

I agree, visually they look strikingly similar. Anyway, very nice work. I think your gun would benefit from a handle though. But as stated above, nice power for plastic bbs, but it would be just wicked with metal bbs!

Yes, my bull-pup coaxial BBMG looks very much like this one.. though it looks like he spent more time with it.

anyway, good job mate!

UPDATE: I got bored and put a foregrip and a red dot scope on the BBmg. [img][/img]
The sight was surprisingly accurate. It was so good my friends have now banned it from use unless it is 7 vs 1.
