Now i saw a lot of new bbmgs in this type, they look pretty good, nice power and high capacity mags . but are these guns better than a well made bbmg vortex in same pressure?

viva la Vortex!

cool looking guns, I see these and instantly think of a Thompson with a drum mag. BUT... personal preference here, im gonna keep making ma vortex.

I would guess these guns have comparable power and accuracy to a vortex... but that reload time PALES in comparison. More time shooting means more fun for me, and that thing looks to weigh 3-4x that of a similar vortex. Big deal when you're talking CQB.

Now, for your next assignment... find me an ULTRA air efficient bbmg... and you will be my hero :D :D

If you're into them... dont worry bout it, just make one. Fun will be had either way.

you're looking for this -> http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/viewtop ... tml#290056

I had a lot of problems with feeding on these prototypes. If you can improve feeding then you've got a pretty efficient BBMG as it uses relatively little air

Depends what you mean by "better".

I take it these are by the same builder of the BBMG discussed here, rate of fire certainly seems to be up over cloud/vortex BBMGs and tube feeding seems to make it more reliable.

However in terms of velocity/muzzle energy there areother factors to be taken into consideration to get better performance.

I'll reiterate the point this isn't necessarily better.

Vortexs can quite easily churn out 3000+ BBs a minute and that's already a lot of BBs to use (or pick up).
Be sure you NEED it to fire faster before turning that up beyond eleven.

As someone who's been banging on about lower-rate-of-fire-and-moar-power since the early days of sputech I think I'm the last person you should be telling that to :P

Hence the reason I used the word "reiterate" - ultimately, I'm repeating what you've said on the matter. You didn't add it here though (and it seemed valid), so I figured I'd point it out on your behalf.

The fact I'm quoting someone doesn't necessarily mean it's them I'm talking to.

Technically it's in the link ;)

It has to be said though that if someone is unwilling to increase pressure/barrel length and wants better effect on target, upping the rate of fire is one way to go about it if you're willing to put up with the increased appetite for ammunition.

I Think i'm going to make one of these,to compare with my bbmg vortex. Obviously bbmg vortex are easier to reload and the magazine capacity are certainly bigger in a smaller size, but these guns won't left any bbs in mag but in vortex some times there are bbs left in the magazine. :x

for 6mm ammo something close to 7mm ID would be ok... even 8mm should be fine
