The MV 870 BBMG

This is the MV 870 Ultimate Inline inspired BBMG. First thing, the name is actually the model of the pressure washer handle I used on this gun, I saw it and said "Hey, that sounds like a gun." So the gun itself is made of almost 100% PVC. There is an ABS pressure washer handle, and an ABS non-functional clip on this gun, making the only real non-plumbing parts the spring and the threaded rod. This amazing new variation of the Ultimate Inline series is built to look more like a real gun than ever before, as well as keeping the internals to the standards of the first generation. I have been doing testing, and will let you know how chronographs turn out, as well as timed shot counts to find out the true firepower of this gun, in terms of rounds per second. I know it's around 100 per second at 120 psi. With that kind of rain making firepower, it empties the entire 2500 round capacity hopper in under 30 seconds, if I really felt like wasting BB's. I have a 363 mm in length, 6.03 mm inner diameter, Classic Army brand airsoft barrel attached to the vortex block made out of 2" PVC rod. The vortex block, as well as everything else on this gun has o-rings where seals must be made. It has a clear chamber, perfect for viewing how fast this thing empties all of those BB's. You must be sick of me talking now, so I think I'll let you see the pictures now.

Just click to go to an enlarged version of the pictures you see.

I hope you like it. VOTE FOR BOOMER, AND HIS MV 870!!

Thanks a lot, it really means something coming from the competition, and your gun is at least as good as mine, without the realness factor involved. I looked at your gun and said, "wow, that must have taken a lot of careful planning," with all the fittings you worked into that gun to make it look as good as you did. Props.

why does this video say submitted by sgort87??

edit. and good job on the realistic part and the power, most realistic guns have no power at all, i mean home made ones like potato guns

Because he insisted that he should do it, as we were working on the gun at the shop. He was on Avery (the tablet pc) and was already signed into his account.

Thanks for the complement Boomer. The fittings weren't all that hard to get right. The gun is alot simpler than it shows. It breaks down into systems(action, body, chamber). And yeah I didn't go for realistic, just functional.I wish I could build something like your's.I'm a sucker for magazines.Good luck

Same to you, and I, also, am a sucker for magazines. Hence why I have one on here. May the best man win!

very nicely done, looks brilliant but is let down by that tacky front sight :-/ now that the deadline's been extended then surely you can come up with something a bit more M-16 like? Or take the front sight off completely and glue/screw an 11mm wide metal plate on top of the clear chamber portion that will let you mouny a cheap-o red dot sight like one of these, it will cost you less than $20:

You know, I was actually thinking the same thing. I found the actual sight rail, but am not sure i can have it here by the deadline. I am kicking myself for not ordering it sooner, as it would have helped it out a whole ton.

Boomer and I are... shopmates? He lives in the town next to mine and I've been friends with his older sister for a long time so we hang out and be spud nerds together all the time. That would explain why it was submitted under my account. We just throw all our things on my laptop, my website, and my accounts because it's easier.

Nice vortex! I have been waiting around to see the gun you said you were making. It actually looks like a real gun, compared to most vortex guns people have made. I have to say you did a lot better job than I did on my vortex.

After the sneak preview you gave me on AIM, I can say I've been waiting for the finished version. Very nice job, on the whole thing. My only complaint would be the full circle of a vortex block, but that's just nitpicking. Great job!

Noname likes the half circle vortex guns...they give better ROF.
