.209 primer gun

This is might be against the rules... if it is, just close it.

Anyway, I had an idea- why not make a pellet gun that fires using .209 primers rather an air? Think about it, airguns are expensive. Why spend hundreds on a break barrel gun or on co2 cartirdges when you could make your own gun that uses primers? Making an air powered gun that would match the power of a real one would be nearly impossible. But with primers, you can make a gun for next to nothing that would be almost as powerful.

I looked up the idea and found a company called PrimeGun. But their site sucks and I can't get any info.

Ideas?

Well it could work, but it is againt forum rules: discussion of solid propellants is strictly prohibited.

Being as how this thread is going to be closed and all.The .22 "soundless" round is just that.No powder just the rimfire cartridge.Completely slow and only a 150ft. range but, none-the-less fun.

I beg to differ I have a Decent break barrel that shoots 1250 fps that only cost me 100$
