How hard to compress is the spring you have? If it is too strong it would be hard to fit the pluger over your bbs and close the cap or quick disconnects.

to compress it halfway it takes about a 1/3 of a pound of force and all the way it takes about a pound. i was wondering if this would clog my votex

If you have shouds on a full hole vortex, it won't clog it. I think it will be just fine. Build your gun first, then find a spring for it. The spring in my vortex is homemade; you could always make your own spring out of wire. Just coil a spring, get it red hot and dip it in water as quick as you can, then put it in oil and burn the oil around it. Thats how you make a good spring.

It won't affect the gun, unless the spring is strong wnough to totally rip the gun apart. The spring is to push the BBs towards the block, and that's what it will do.

I use the springs for the spring loaded pop up sprinkler heads, they work good on my gun, will post it after it gets a good coat of paint.
