Smaller ROF

Hi. How can I make a BBMG with a smaller ROF, for use in airsoft? It would have to shoot around 300 FPS and 10 RPS. All the guns I found fire about 50 RPS, and my BB budget it limited.
Thanks

dude, brainstorm, think of something new. You could just make one of these

try a mechanical feed system
look at some of the semi/full auto guns on this site.
i reccomend clide's "semi auto". his shoots pb's, but it could work for airsoft
the other one ive seen is someones marble machine gun that used a QEV, a saftey pop valve, and some kind of paddle interrupter.
basically, just search around. im actually working on a semi-auto airsoft gun (just found and easy way) i can PM you with plans if youd like. it is easily made to go fully automatic at any ROF you choose.
also, you might need ideas on an air system:
coleman propane cylinders work great for producting consistent 100+PSI shots, just use metal and you will be safe. btw, propane is basically airsoft green gas, so its not like youre breeching any badness.
the other idea, if you dont want your gun to shoot at 550 FPS, is to use "duster gas". in airsoft terms, its called HFC132A, and it can be readily found as "keyboard sprayers". just find a way to fill up a metal chamber in your gun with the liquid keyboard sprayer liquid and run it off that. the keyboard sprayer liquid gives off around 40-60 PSI, a much more managble pressure for shooting lightweight pellets such as airsoft pellets.

have a look
here, in theory you should get more power as a result too

Thanks for the answers. VH_man, if you don't mind sending me your plans, I would be happy to receive them.
My first idea was to do what jackssmirkingrevenge's link showed. Has anyone ever done anything similar to that? If yes, how is the performance of the gun?

i once made one with a crude hop-up system. it wasnt as sophisticated, but it worked quite well. your gonna find youre going to get much higher muzzle velocities than you want if you do that. and it definetly will reduce ROF. but not by much.

It works well enough, but you have to experiment with tubing until you get the right balance.

You might actually like this idea and it seems fairly easy to build:
