I totally just saw this post, you rock man._Fnord wrote:That is an incredible design.
Will it shoot through cardboard? plastic? kevlar?
The smallest gun I made was also the size of a pen, but it was a semi-auto bbg powered by a rubber band.(I think It was back around 01')
I took it on a 3-day class trip, where I shared a hotel room with three other people. There were soo many bbs in the carpet by the end of the trip, it took forever to find them all.
..But just wait till I make my next mini. It will use a single carbon nanotube with a graphite burstdisk as a chamber/barrel, along with a molecular valve to be injected with hydrogen atoms. I plan on shooting buckeyballs with it.
Ok, Im jk.

I wonder if you could make a mini thats fire balls out of ball point pens, that would be sick

You could make one similar to this of even smaller calibre, but without 3000 psi+ pressures power would be almost non-existent.

This reminds me of that scene in the movie "Johnny English" where he was in the secretary's room and said, " I remember, every secret agent used to have one of these pens. Two clicks and..."
Funny stuff...
EDIT:
How do you fire it? Forgive me if it's obvious...I'm new to the whole spudgun thing...

unconventional as far as compliments go, but thanks

Nice gat, man. I'm still trying to understand the co-axial design.
I've built several large combustion guns, as well as large and small pneumatic ones, but this design was unheard-of until I read your thread.
Thanks for all the info, man. I'm gonna' try to build one and see what happens.
Great job.

It really wasn't that hard to make, actually it's probably one of the easiest co-axials I ever made - it's just a question of having the right materials at hand. If you look through the replies there's a how-to somewhere.spudgunnerwryyyyy wrote:God i love this mastery of epoxy and patience.

No sound I'm afraid, my camera was created sans microphone, alas, alas.
A brief how-to on how I made this project can be seen here.

I am thinking of doing a project similar to this. I want to make an airsoft gun (purely pneumatic) around this size. I am thinking of a simpler maybe 2 cylindar design. An important part is is must be pumped from an attached pump. Do you know the easiest way to make a compact high pressure pump?

If you want a self-contained design, then have a look at Clide's mini-pump - a little more complex to build but it doesn't require external power.
