Why? What did they ever do to you? I think it's illeagle to "pain" tips in 27 countries...
dart guy wrote:also you should make a sanding dowel and have your son ream the loading ports so that they are slightly larger.
Again...Why? Please explain why you suggest that.

oops, haven't had much time. i meant to paint the tips, and to slightly ream out the barrel where the darts go in so that they can be full length and still easily fit in, also with a sanding dowel you would probably tapper the loading ports. that would making loading easy and still have it fire the same.
when life gives you lemons... make root beer and leave the world wondering how you did that

It's definately not airtight...but the darts are too fast anyway.
In a metal version, with a metal hinge, I could get an airtaight metal to metal seal.
I've made it before.
I think everyone around here is into high power. I think of PVC stuff for indoor and low power, i have outdoor toys for outdoor and they arnt made of PVC.
That is pretty cool, it looks madmaxish with the wood and grips. The color of the PVC is a nice touch.
Good job

For many members of the forum, spudguns are the only projectile launching devices they have access to, so the quest for power is usually a pressing one. If you have a 12 gauge handy, having a bit of harmless fun with PVC is more accessible

I'm into anything having to do with spudding...as long as it's legal.
This one ..I made for my kid.
I've made a few launchers for myself with a bit more power.
This one was all fun although it was exceptionally powerful on a Nerf scale...

You can't blame Nerf that kids dent easily...
Just kidding..
This thing was not safe for actual Nerf-combat. Not as painful as paintball, but to much for a kid to take I guess.
