Thanks, but what do you mean cap, is there a small brass cap in there, does the silicone tube help with sealing it?
That is all.

The silicon tube is slipped over the (brass) barrel and inserted into the (aluminum) chamber, of course the actual pressure bearing seal in the chamber comes from the epoxy.
The silicone allows me to put on an actual pen cap to cover the barrel without having it fall off due to the tight fit.

For relatively short minis, as long as the barrel is properly lined up it will not flex in use, even at high pressure, so no need for supports.

nice job. I like the silicon tube at the end, looks better than a conventional cap.

Here's my latest pengun, it's designed to fit into an existing pen without modifying the casing. In this regard external dimensions are very similar to the ballpoint refill it will replace.
As I was constrained to 6mm maximum external diameter, I couldn't use an ordinary schrader valve. Instead of making my own, I figured it would be easier to take a schrader core and epoxy it directly into the chamber. Fits nicely, but now the issue is how to fill it. I've made a ghetto fill station which is basically a sealed tube in which the whole firing unit fits, we'll see how well it works after curing.

That won't work, to have threads that match a schrader it won't fit in the pen casing. If I did I just would have stuck a schrader in there as usual

Why not thread the outside of the casing? If it is 6mm then it should fit pretty good into a schrader hose.
Yeah, it's that important.

So you never did tell us, how did you manage to fill it? That trigger looks like it works flawlessly because judging from the video, it looks like you barely had to push on the cap to make it fire.
Yeah, it's that important.

This isn't the "parker" one, I've put that on hold for now.Mr.Sandman wrote:So you never did tell us, how did you manage to fill it?

Silly me, I do believe I have MPCS or Mass Pengun Confusion Syndrome. Just curious question if you dont mind me asking, how loud is this particular pengun? Even at low pressures of 450 psi, my pengun sounds like a firecracker and i'm thinking of making a detachable suppressor for it.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:This isn't the "parker" one, I've put that on hold for now.Mr.Sandman wrote:So you never did tell us, how did you manage to fill it?

It's quite loud, but not excessively so, my HW45 is much louder.
