A drillpress is no exclusive or horribly expensive tool so I guess a big part of us has it. I would say it is okay.Mr.Sandman wrote:He he does a drill press count? It's going to be obvious if machine tools have been used. If it isn't obvious, then it doesn't matter. Users can adjust their opinion accordingly. If someone pulls of something amazing without machine tools, then great. But excluding people from a competition because they have slightly better fortune in tooling isn't fair.theBOOM wrote:I say 2 months should be a good deadline. The original pen gun was made using a standard drill and hacksaw and (rather embarrasingly since it came second in the challenge it was built for) was built in a few hours, if you have the right ideas fancy tooling isn't necessaryinonickname wrote:If someone pulls off something amazing without machine tools, then great.
