I'm sorry GunFreak....... I've joined the dark side :D

So I finally got everything I needed to actually fire off some shots with my mini today. I don't have an actually barrel yet but I'm FAR too impatient to wait a whole day so I hot glued a marker on to shoot nerf darts :lol: :lol:

Nothing special other than that it's clear. I used a slightly larger pre-form than the one I used in my Ballistic Knife as the body.

Today I epoxied(of course) the 17mm barrel from my Water-Bottle Gun on. Can I please join the epoxy hybrid club now jsr? :D I also switched to packing tape as a burst disk material because it holds strong until about 200 psi.

Specs:

Chamber volume: 26ish mL's
Barrel: Currently 8mm, 2.5 feet long
Metering: Syringe
Fuel: Butane
Burst Disk Material: Packing Tape
Max mix number: gone up to 8x

Please watch your safety, I got a very violent explosion from a 4x mix :roll:
I wouldn't hold it in my hands.
When I shoot my mini, I put it in a vice with a towel over it.

Apart from that, nice job :)
Must be the first see trough hybrid ever built, so you can be pretty proud :D

Did you're hybrid explode AGAIN :lol: and yes, that shot where i held it in my hand was only a 2x mix with a burst pressure of only 50 psi. When i fired the 3x, you saw how i hid below my counter :D

No, I believe the back plug popout was at 4x.
It should be okay I guess...

You got some nice footage. I like how fast the flame disappears when the disk bursts, You're also able to see it in one of JSR's vids.

im a pneumatic person but this thread inspired me to make a mini hybrid out of a small cheap bike pump, but when the epoxy cures i can test it yay (JSR revolution continues...)

haha ya, same here, I just wanted to try a mini hybrid once..... I'm not that dark yet.

yes, ill be making a blast shield soon... my wood shop teacher has got some thick plexiglass that I could use
The cannon itself looks a bit like a deathtrap
