pneumatic chamber / barrel ratio
i just thought about this but has anyone ever checked if the chamber/barrel ratio ever mattered? i looked at some old mini's and i thought about that because if the volume of the barrel is bigger than the chamber then the projectile wont have a high enough velocity/mass ratio to do significant damage. i'm thinking of building a pengun or a coaxal just for some portable fun

Yes it matters. Google Gas Gun Design Tool (GGDT) and play with hypothetical cannons to fine tune your design before building it.
