i have two 1 inch sprinkler vavles attached to my spudgun. one for each chamber. it seems when i de pressurize the valves it will let a burst of air but then after the main burst there is a trickle of air coming out after. it leaves some pressure in the chamber which leaks out slowly. is that normal or is something not working right? and out of curiosity what does the fist chamber of the valve do? i would have bought a straight vavle but none where i live. the second chambers holds the diaphram but i have no idea what the chamber next to the inlet does.
thanks nick

Well, if you look here, you'll notice that there is a spring involved in the movment of the valve. What this spring does is push the diaphram down onto the seat, making it so it seals easier. As a side affect, it likes to (try to) seal when the pressure is low. (there's not much air pressure opposing the spring)
...It's normal, and you arn't really losing any preformance to it.

what should i use as a vavle to pressurize the cannon. with my other phuenmatic i just use a blower chuck cause it is a dishpan. this one i have a shreder vavle in it from a truck tire but it seems to have a much harder time getttin air in. i can only get to 20 psi after 5 -10 sec whereas i woul dbe at 100 psi+ with the air chuck. could i just mount a air chuck into the chamber using some sort of connector?
well i got it all together using a female adaptor so the compressor hose hocks right to the chamber. but i get it to like 60 psi and i fire and it throws potatos pretty good but nowhere near as good as my single chamber dishpan gun. the valves lets air out it its not really a burst of airs it just kinda flows out. is this because of the type of valves i have or just is that what is to expect. you can visibly see the pressure gauge decrease instead of just go to 0 so there is a good 20 psi still left int he chambesr after i fire the gun which woul dseem to me to be huge loss in preformence. why else could this behappening if it isnt the valves problem? any ideas?
