Pop Cans... Anyone doin em?

sorry for my anti-help post but, what the hell are pop cans? i got a 2.5" barrel on my combustion and soda cans dont fit in it. are pop cans a different to these? or is it a an "American" thing?

To my knowledge, "pop" and "soda" are exactly the same thing, just different names. That being the case, perhaps soda cans come in different sizes/ diameters. I wouldn't be in any way shocked if there are different sizes; those crazy europeans with their different measurements.

EDIT: Thanks Jack for pointing that out. Yes I do realize that the Europeans came up with the system. In fact, technically I am one of those crazy Europeans (I am living is Switzerland at the moment). It is just odd to change from feet to meters. And since I come from America, I naturally prefer the first system I learned.

Europe is composed of so many different nations with different values that it's unfair to tar them all with the same brush, in the same way that it's inappropriate to stereotype Americans, or anyone else for that matter.

Anyway, this is a little off topic, "pop" and "soda" cans, yes? If that wasn't complicated enough, here we call them "soft drinks"

well they are all the same thing "soda" came from the south and moved upward and people who didnt know the name called it "pop" because of the fizz. and im pretty sure that its the same for "soft drinks" most people in the south and in New England call it a "soft drink" or "soda". i hope i solved the little debat.

Yeah I'm from the northern part of the US, most of the rest of the country calls it soda but I'm so used to calling it pop. Sorry, didn't think about that soda just sounds weird to me.

It's a soft drink because it's non-alcoholic (as opposed to hard liquor ) "Soda" probably derived from "Soda water", one of the first carbonated drinks on the market (basically sodium hydroxide dissolved in water then carbonated) before all the other soft drinks like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Budweiser etc. came on to the market.

Yeah soda was originally served in drug stores as tonics for ailments like Pepsi was for stomach aches, Coke was for headaches, and Dr. Pepper was for just about everything. A shot of flavored syrup was mixed with 2 parts soda water via soda fountain.

On topic: You might want to sleeve the sdr26 if it is long, but it should be OK if it is left unsleeved, just don't shoot anything like gravel that can bind itself in the barrel.

The name is largely regional, as you can see here http://popvssoda.com
I usually just call it by the drink name, like Sprite or Dr. Pepper, or just use the word "drink", like "I'll have a medium drink". But out of pop/soda/coke I probably use "coke" most.
