1. Try some teflon tape on that thread (you ARE using a threaded cap, aren't you?).
2. If you fasten it with screws like in the picture above, it should stay put.
It also has less surface against the flame front, so it gets pushed with less force than your cap.

you should be using a treaded one so that doesnt happen again. i've got one question about the fan. How do you power it? with 9 volt batterys? If so how many?

Just anote on the efficacyof the fan. I installed one in my propane cannon and
such a difference in performance (including the noise-but that's okay). It sent that cannon from a good performer to a real kicking mule! I also installed a
spark strip which gives me a great ignition. Worth the upgrades.

My chamber fan is friction mounted, and it never comes out or moves around. By the way one of you asked which direction should it be blowing? the answer- it should be blowing fresh air into your chamber

One question i have though, is why my chamber fan burned if i have propane injection? it's not working, it used to, my wiring, battery power, on/off switch and electrode connectivity is all good i tested it with another fan. Is there anything like a covering for the middle part of the fan that i could glue on to protect it? It looks like my cannon burned a hole through the middle where the sticker was and right into the little silicon chip.
