Great laws changed! But I would like some hard information something from say a government site so I can be sure on these changes in laws before I change the current laws I have posted.

Should this be sticked when we get all the info on all states-territories?I think so.

Well at the moment there recommendations? So we have to wait for it to go through the whole political phase before it becomes and amendment.

However it is recommended that the gun laws are the same for each state so nation wide we have one set of rules. Witch would be good instead of having different classes meaning one thing in one state and one set in another. example

QLD: Spud gun/ Orange cannons are classed as a light air weapon not definley classed in any class they have. Hence making them an unknown. Police want to be spoil the fun but they can't if your not doing anything dangerous.

NSW: Class A witch roughly says any thing that fires or propels a projectile of any sort by means of air pressure or venting of combusted gass. You need to have them registered and have a gun licence if not they are classed as prohibited.

WA: Class A and or E (E) because of a loop hole witch I will explain
Class A in WA is the same as NSW but you have to take said "firearm" To the police have it stamped and registered as a home made weapon Destruction of said weapon has to be verified by a police officer and removed from register. With out this procedure they are classed as prohibited.
Now heres the kick E class is any weapon with a barrel/muzzle larger than 40mm there for classed as a Cannon but however this is classed for weapons fired with Black powder/gun powder or a center fire/ rim fire pin. So that covers every thing from old Branhurst muzzle loading cannons (First fleet sh@%t) to the modern day Howitzer. But dose not mention the use of gas under presusre the venting of combusted gas or the use of air presses. So here the humble spud gun falls between the cracks again.

This is info i got sent by ASSA and even the local reps I have spoken to in NSW QLD and WA (the three states I have lived in.) are totaly confused and have no idear where you would stand if they where found on your persons. There advice was to hide and disguise IE when not in use make them look like fishing rod capsules or apart of you house hold plumbing.

I guess my whole point is there is no clearly defined set of rules for spud gunning and with these recommendations there now going to fit snug in a class that can be governed.
So let us hope that the local kids don't go blowing there feet/ hands/ eyes/ ears/ or anything that you could loose by being stupid with these things. So guys go forth and spread the news. PLEASE BE CAREFUL for the next few months until this comes through.

Bugger it, My neighbours are cool with it and he's like a QRF Police Officer.
I mean, given the circumstances, if you get caught only the single unsatsified virgin police officers will fine you/ confiscate. They just say,"keep it on your property".
And so on.....
At least that's what they said to me.

Yeah that seem s to be a real problem. I havgent found anything in hard writing so far. its all been from the ASSA and even they dont know where the grey areas are.
With out going into a cop shop and asking for the sate law on fire arms in each state this is going to be a hard one to chace up.

I sent an email to the Australia NSW firearms people asking about pneumatic spud guns, here is the reply
This item is not classed as a firearm & is actually prohibited in NSW. If you look at our website http://www.police.nsw.gov.au & choose the link to firearms, then the link to our legislation you can find the applicable legislation in:

Weapons Prohibition Act 1998
Schedule 1, Miscellaneous Weapons 2 (3

You obviously don't seem to understand just how dangerous your situation is - if the police find out that you even posess such a device, and you get unlucky, you could find yourself imprisoned for a considerable amount of time.

If you do ANYTHING that isn't in keeping with the ways of the sheeple in Australia, you'd better be damned careful if you wish to keep what little freedom you have left.

If in doubt, it's probably illegal. If in doubt and Australia at the same time, run like hell.
