How to deal with frustration

And yes, it was a bummer to see him die at the end. Although the real heartstring puller for me was seeing the Captain watch the U-96 go down as he died, after the insurmountable odds they conquered to get back to port.

I'm pretty sure, from reading various IMDB topics, the Captain doesn't die, he just lays down because he's wounded and exhausted. And after seeing the U-96 go down, after all they did to get it back to port in one piece was heart-breaking for him.

I'll tell you what I do sometimes when I'm frustrated.

I pick any member that's starting to get on my nerves, open their profile, find all their posts, go back to the start and laugh at how much of a newb they once were - or maybe still are.

Works a lot better with some people than with others.

Well i find that dealing with frustration can be delightful.

Let me give an example:

You know when you are trying to sleeve a pipe through the bushing passing the lip? Well that is what i hate most because it is always hard to push through, especially when working with 3 and 4 inch fittings and pieces, believe me. And then when you apply the glue and you try to sleeve it but for some reason the glue dries and you cant sleeve it anymore, so mthen you try and hammer it down with a pipe wrench and it still doesnt go and now you know that your fitings is f*cked.
And you know what always goes good with these stories..... Pictures!!







Thats me today trying to sleeve a 3 inch pipe through a bushing unsuccessfully. So i broke the pipe on accident trying to hammer it with a pipe wrench.

So i had a great day. Now i gotta buy a new fitting for ten dollars at mcmaster carr. How was your day?? Cause mine was swell (sarcastic)

Normally when my bushing gets stuck, I put the bushing in a vise grip and put\hammer the pipe as hard as I can...

Whatever you do, don't through away the fitting... It's pretty screwed for you, but I can possibly salvage it on an oscillating sander... Or if you have one at your house, or at school, you can try... A lathe may also work... Filing\dremeling would take forever compared to a 40 grit sanding drum on an oscillating sander... It would take a few minutes of sanding, and it may be off center, which would ruin it completely probably...

Normally when I dremel bushing, I dremel the entire bushing down a little bit (more on the side with the stop), since the bushing has a slight [very slight] taper from the outside to the inside (as if you were using it normally, without sanding out the bushing)...

After dremeling down the bushing, I sand it to about 200-400 grit... I also normally sand the pipe lightly with 120/150 grit, and smooth it with 200 grit...

I normally put a very small amount of glue inside the bushing... Normally more towards the front if I insert the pipe from the back...

If cut your pipe with pipe cutters (you should), make sure to sand down the bevel\lip that it puts on the pipe from the pressure when you cut it... Normally I just hit it lightly with a dremel, and then lightly with sand paper...

And finally, make sure that the sealing face of your pipe is square, and smooth, so it will seal correctly...

Do you sand down all of the inside of the bushing? I only try to get rid of the lip but if i did sand down the other part of the inside of the bushing it probalby will slide down easier but i might then get the barrel off center.

I dont really have that many tools to work with.

Heck yes, Rag! Indian Jones and the Last Crusade is my single favorite movie! I'm glad to find someone else who actually recognizes how cool it is. Especially how Harrison Ford and Sean Connery make such a great team. The whole scene with the blimp and the subsequent attack from the German fighter plane (don't forget the your Charlemagne! ) is just amazing. 8)

I'm a fan of a lot of films that mix action and humour in the right way, not entirely taking themselves totally seriously.

On average, I spend 17% less time commenting on errors made by the film-makers when watching such a film.
