Why would you get a refund, you used it on PVC, and without primer, so you disobeyed the product instructions

Not mine, but thought this was a good one..

In reality, that is an end cap that blew off from a bad glue joint.
Here is the actual failure.

I suspect that due to the socket depth, this is DWV.

Ceiling endcap is not watching you fail, because it's in orbit!
They were luck it was vertically mounted and no one was looking over it at the time! I bet it was divine retribution from the gods of efficiency, for mating such a pathetic valve with such a massive bore
Nice find Tech!

The bad match of the valve to that barrel is a fail in itself. The end cap flies much better.

The celing is in no danger from things shot from the cannon. :newb:
These guys crack me up.. Undersize valve, oversize barrel and all DWV with no primer.

They would have been much better off buying twice the length of barrel material, capping one end and making a simple combustion. Perhaps someone should point them to this forum
On another note, this thread was started by A-98 and in the context of his recent passing his "feline aficionado" title seems somewhat jarring, perhaps PCGUY could change it to something more appropriate and solemn? Then again, perhaps it's exactly how he would have preferred to be remembered

Wow. Just wow. Anything stupid I've done pales in comparison to that... idiot.
Not enough detail to tell what happened there.
But enough to know that spud gun H&S would have have a fit over it.

Close, but on the other side of the continental divide. It's the right continent anyway. The sheriff is from Polk County, not country.
I had a close call today.I put together 1 1/4"sch40.18"barrelon a tee with a 6"handle and ignighter in the end cap.well I was haveing no luck getting a rubber ball to launch:poor f/a-ratio.then I remember that o2tank in my garage I startfilling the launcher with o2.and then I spray a shot of 100proof vodka and 181proof denatured alcohol mix.they R pre mixed together and the atomizer puts out a healthy dose about 5ml or so.I mean only one shot,I almost put in a second but thought not .I point strait up and BOOM!I have never had that kind of power. In the past I used ronsinol lighter fluid and alcohol.with ok power.I feel that mix is safe for me .but never added o2 too the mix.flipping hell man o2 is huge,I mean really going big
