I just made one

I was trying out this idea again for the sentry gun BBMG using flexible tubing as feed and magazine, I wanted to see if it would empty the tube of BBs without a barrel fitted. Clamped the end of the tube in a vice and let he rip... clearly not clamped hard enough, the tube came loose and snaked about spraying BBs all over the place, I got this neat little burst across the arm. This is even *before* I fit it to the turret, this isn't going to end well

10 000 1 mm bbs -> 18 $,
1 foot lenght of 1/8" tubing -> 4 $

lol but don't worry I've done something stupid myself... I blocked the muzzle of the BBMG while the compressor was filling it (that was before I added teh detent)... once i removed it the bb shot out of the barrel and left a nice bruise on my finger... don't ask me why I was thinking... clearly I wasn't

I guess I am lucky that the pressure was just ~40 psi or so

Just had another failure.

Messing around with a gun in my room, didn't realize a valve was loose, pumped some air into it, BOOM.

The unwanted kind of boom anyway, it sent a ball valve and barrel across the room.

I remember many years ago, I was trying to include a chamber fan in the design of my coke bottle combustion. I cut a bottle in half, installed a small fan at the bottom, and glued it together with superglue.
I thought I'd test it to see if it could hold the pressure of a jammed round, so I screwed a cap onto the bottle, donned hearing protection in case it didn't, and fired.
BANG! I was prepared for that eventuality. But I was not prepared that
1. The noise would be so loud I actually felt the pressure wave around my head
2. The bottom part would gain such high velocity, and
3. That the wall which I thought would absorb an eventual impact was made of plaster instead of wood. I now had a bottle-sized hole in the wall of my apartment. I decided to cover it with tape and not say anything for as long as possible.
Fortunately, some years after I was asked to move because they were going to tear down the building - and I never had to pay for the damage.
The building was never torn down (my employer expanded their work force and the new people needed homes), now a friend of mine lives in the apartment with the hole in the wall.

Not quite spud guns but I once shot a co2 powered .177 bb hand gun at a tree. I was standing about 5 feet away and you can guess what happened. Luckily I reacted quick enough to close my eye and the bb was only going 50-100 fps coming at me because it hit me dead center in my eye. It hurt for a few seconds but nothing else

@blackhawk13 whoa dude that could have ended badly...
Speaking of getting shot in the eye (lol) when I was playing airsoft today with some friends, a bb bounced off my eye glasses... it wasn't going that fast -one of those 15 dollar full auto's- but it would have hurt pretty bad, nothing damagin though most likely. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES.

Yes it could have. I am really glad that the gun only shots 350fps normally. That and that there was a shotgun clay target in the way that slowed the bb down enough for me to not go blind. Needless to say, as soon as that happened I went inside to get goggles

sounds nice but idk if I can get it. Like what if I put nitro fuel for rc Niro cars and sprayed it in my chamber?
