What kind of fitting?

I looked everywhere and couldn't find a description descriptive enough so that I could be sure I had what I was looking for. (I looked on the website too). I am looking for the name of 4 different kinds of fittings. I was interested in attaching multiple barrels to 1 output, so I needed either: a slip onto the smaller barrel, and a thread on the other side, (interior or exterior I guess.) Do these exist as reducers and as couplers? If you look at the top of the picture, it is showing, (eg) a 1" pipe slip increased to a 3" interior thread. The bottom is basically the same: a 1" pipe slip increased to a 3" exterior thread. Those are 2 of the 4 pieces I am interested in. Also, what is the name for a) pipe slip on 1 side coupling to an interior thread b) pipe slip on one side coupling to an exterior thread

Sorry about the confusing description, I didn't know how else to do it!

A fitting with exterior threads on one end is called a male adapter. The interior threads on one side is a female adapter. As far as slips, these are called bushings.

To expand on Hubb's post... You will need a Reducing Bushing, available at any hardware store...
