Difference between air/water cannon

I've noticed in general... Perhaps i'm wrong...
That laws in regards to air cannon's and "projectile" weapons, seem to come under most countries "fire arm's" Act's..

Yet.. "Water cannons" don't seem to be classified as a projectile weapon...
Because they are not projecting a "solid" object.. (Although water IS a projectile).

Now is it just me, or does anyone else see a possibility here...?

I've modding mine to-
Have a detachable coke bottle prefilled with water....
So when I'm done... I can clip the water tank on it, detach my barrel and attach a small cal "squirt" nozzle instead....
I'll also rigged the coke bottle's connection, to fail and break off at 15PSI if anyone try's to overpower it... ( they're are sneaky lil' bugger's).
So it's rendered useless when pumped to high PSI

So in affect... When I not using it.... (Which is most of the time)
It will be nothing more than a low powered water pistol...

I'll post pics if you want to see the conversion...
:)

A spudgun is not classified as a firearm in the US. In order for it to be classified as such, a projectile must be projected by a solid propellant.

I wish I lived in the US :(

Different case is Aus unfortunatley...

The Aussy members here have build lethal "fire arms" as classified by your laws. The idea of having it stowed as a water pistol seems like a very good idea.

Might want McCRowly or Chaos over here, as I am useless when it comes to principles of law.

I build all of my "cannons" to look non- threatening, or at least i try.
I had the police at my house one day and showed them an innocent looking double chamber mini, they left.
If i would have shown them anything remotely resembling a gun i would have been arrested, or fined.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

OK...
Looks like it might be the go....
I don't have a sprinker valve on mine... (As you can see from my avatar)
So it should be easy to hide the "design principal".

:D

200PSI water pistol.... Nice... :)

You Kiwi?

My parents are trying to get us to move to Sydney, my dad is working there at the moment, no offence to Aussies, but there is no way in hell i'm moving, i'm sure you feel the same :D

Now I might go pop of a few bb rounds, shoot a few paintball guns with paintballs in my backyard and shoot tin cans with my air rifle, all legally.

I was just taking the mickey out of Australian spudders who can't own BB guns, air rifles, paintball gun or even by BB's and PB's without some sort of license. :D

Hmmm...
I think I got that part...
I was just wondering if the paintball guns had done anything wrong to get shot at..?

I was assuming you wanted to post.. ",Shoot a few paintballs with my paintball guns in my backyard" :) not shoot the guns...

Wasn't that funny anyway.... :)

MrCrowley after the port author massacre i don't blame the australian govenment for the strict gun laws even if they are air rifes, its not like we can't own a slug or paint ball gun in aus all you just need a licence.
