I just barely made a pill bottle mini using a piezo, and i can't get it to light the fuel!
I've been using the butane from the lighter that I stole the piezo from. I can see the spark when I take off the cap, but when i spray fuel in and put the cap on, it doesn't fire?
Does anyone know how long I should spray the butane in for? (my combustion chamber is just a normal children's tylonel size bottle)

spray for 5 seconds, start clicking the piezo, if it fires, five seconds, if it takes a while before it ignites, go down to 4, and so on

if you have a full lighter about 10 to 15 seconds, make sure your ignition points gap is only about .020

what color is the spark when you can see it?

try to get the longest blue spark you can get

TECH TIP -- the smaller the spark gap, the hotter the spark, (blue is the hottest)

I think ur using 2 little or 2 much fuel. Instead of using a lighter, use butane refills for lighters, thats what I use and it works every time. U could also use hairspray or any other combustible spray.

My spark gap is really small (If it was any smaller then the things are touching) The spark is blue, but it's really hard to get it to spark.
I've tried other sprays, and haven't got anything, but i may need to go buy some better stuff. I'm going to try using more fuel because the most i used was 5 second's worth

if you can find biannca I heard that works great, one spray and its good to go. (Biannca is a breath freshener)

5 seconds if too much for a mini, i use 5 seconds for my big cannon

yeah id say your fuel mix is too rich, try backing down to like 2 seconds

I use 5 seconds from a lighter in my mini pill bottle

I've tried 5 seconds, 2 seconds, 10 seconds, but nothing works! I'm just using normal butane, whats wrong?!?! I can get a spark, so that's not the problem. What should I try?
