a few of my friends and i are making a pedal powered go cart type thing, with 2 a spudguns mounted on the side. This is more of an idea as of now, because we were making a pedal powered go cart type thing ( as mentioned earlier) and we thought it would be really cool/stupid/illegal to mount 2 spudguns on the side. we are thinking pneumatic , but a compressor might slow us down. any suggestions for the whole thing? it doesnt have to be too serious

What's the purpose of the spudguns mounted on the 'tank'?
And it may be illegal, i'm not sure. You might get charged with firing a missile from a moving vehicle...
When I mean missile, I mean projectile, but officals refer to them as 'missiles'.
Edit: Oh and what did this topic have to do with the IPLA discussion section? Please attempt to read the descriptions under each forum section heading before posting in that section.

Well I don't see why it can't be done. Just keep it on private property and you'll be fine.
Combustion would be cool, if you had a electronic fueling system, and a quick venting system. Otherwise i'd go pneumatic and just stick a air tank on the back of the 'tank'.

we want to mount the ignition somewhere, but we dont have a lot of experience with ignition.

You can do remote "ignition" on both combustion and pneumatic guns. Seems like a lot of trouble though.
Why don't you build some basic guns and carry them with you in the "tank". Just fire them out the side "windows".
Also you're going to get real tired, it being a pedal machine. Maybe use some 20" bicycle tires for wheels and a bicycle chain setup to drive power. I don't see it being very large without it getting real heavy.

its not gonna be that big, and its not closed off. we might rig a scooter engine we have onto the backwheel, as a throttle boost. the spudguns probably arent gonna be very elaborate, and wewill probably have pvc on the barrel perpendicular to the barrel filled with tennis balls so they fall in whenever youve shot em. i forget what those are called. kind of like a paintball hopper, cept just a tube

You know what, here's something interesting lol...
btw were u going to mount your gun on a tricycle bike.... well I can't find picture of it but it's like this...
Two wheels in the back, One wheel in the front... The seat is where you lay on your back to pedal...
Hopefully you got the idea lol.
It would be awesome to put it in the front but thats was my question and suggestion.

oh yeah i know what those are. thats a pretty good idea. we could build something of wood that goes out on the back wheels, covering them without toucching them and mount em there

Wouldn't it be cool though having one of those pedal tricycle thingo mabob's I mentioned above in airsoft!.
All it needs is suspension and you can then replicate i dunno... hummer's? I dunno it' just be fun riding around with some sort of armor on top firing at people.
CO2 + Airsoft + Tank' thing = pwnage lol
