Just an idea that popped into my head.
I guess it would still count as a blow forward bolt, but it would be much more efficient and would have much less restriction of flow.
Worth a try?

You could turn the bolt into a pop-off for automatic operation I suppose, or add a hammer valve.

You probably are missing something, I think it would work well. I like the large piston to maximise area to take advantage of the relatively small amount of air vented from the pilot.hi wrote:Unless I'm missing something it would not work.

This system looks a lot like a system I had in mind, except in my system the air feed also came from behind, and not from the side, making things very coaxially complicated. Definitely worth a try!

With some calculation of the seat diameter ofcourse, so that your valve only fires after enough air went to the loading mechanism.

JSR, it would be used for a semi. Having it full auto wouldn't work because the bolt is meant to cut off the mag, ensuring one BB per shot.
To everyone, I don't think I'll be making it. It's too complicated for me because I can't drill perfectly straight holes perfectly centered. Otherwise I would definitely try it.
It could be used for a community project I suppose, if we made a semi auto that needed to be fairly efficient.

good idea, similar to my new disign, im sure it will work. maybe uve already thought of it but coudnt show it in the digram but i think ull need to constrict the barrel slightly after the pressure tube to ensure that the ammo doesnt get laucnhed by the piston.
