If it's real, it's extremely irresponsible. Did raise a chuckle though

I saw it on CNN a couple days ago.
My very first thought was" JSR is getting back at his co-workers".
We know you would never do anything like that!

One of the dangers of sharing the joys of compressed air with your colleagues.dewey-1 wrote:We know you would never do anything like that!
After we first improvised a burst disk pneumatic with SS fittings at work, I found the operators rigging it up pointing at the plant entrance door with a nylon line running from the door handle to ball valve trigger, ready for the next shift loaded with a wet tissue wad as a projectile.
Since actions speak louder than words I took the thing and shot it into a stout cardboard box a couple of meters away, they were very surprised that it went right through.
After that demonstration they settled for a similar rig, but with some latex tube with the end tied, made one hell of a noise but no shrapnel at least

Fake, but totally hilarious.
so many muchness
Although it seems fake, it gives me some ideas for securing the shed.
I'd link to the jackass doorbell airbag scene, but all the youtube videos are epicly(sp?) failing.
If you want to see one of the worst videos evar, be my guest
That video gets the point across anyway.
Edit: used a + instead of a = for the link

/sarcasm, /hyperbole
I'd like to quote DCI Gene Hunt on the veracity of this one, but I think it's a little too politically incorrect. (As well as probably rather confusing to Americans, given the particular slang used.)
You can see a cut in the footage. (Watch it in the slo-mo. The "shooter" suddenly jumps in position.) This is pretty obviously a take of someone opening the door, then a take of the cannon firing with either the target edited in or possibly a stunt dummy.
I think it's probably three takes total, but at times we're watching parts of two on different parts of the screen.

Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

one of the best things to do is to rewire a light switch to a sprinkler valve (in a fixable manner of course) so when they walk in to turn on the lights....BAMM! confetti to the face

I didn't need to go frame by frame to know the cable was there. The physics of the flight didn't match anything. A heavy projectile would have folded him in 1/2. A very strong air blast would have opened his lab coat, inflated it and removed it.
Remaining upright without the point of impact accelerating at a different rate (folding over) than his head and feet pointed out the obvious fake to me. Moving the light and shelf was a nice touch.

At one point you can see the size comparison between one person's hand and the barrel diameter. This gives you an idea of the chamber size as well.
While the gun could have theoretically done that(with maybe ~150-200 psi?), that much air decompressing would have blown out the windows and generally disassembled the room a bit more than it did.
Not to mention deafened everyone with or without earplugs.

LOL.. I just took a look at that video again. That light.. It's hanging below regular ceiling lighting. Look at the shadow of the emergency light above the door on the left. Look at the bright side of the light itself. It is lit from above because it is hanging below regular office lighting.. It was added as a prop to the scene. Nice job on their part. I didn't catch that at first.
Thanks. I've enjoyed tearing it apart even without going frame by frame. That is soooo fake I'm gonna let it stay

Found a "making of" video still clearly fake, but nicely done

Nice find. Thanks for the update on this old thread.
I wonder what they had an air blaster cannon in the store room?
