Myself and a few other local spudders will be appearing with our cannons this Sunday on Redneck Roadtrip on Animal Planet, 10:30pm EST.
It's just one segment of the larger show, but we got some great shots and slow-motion captures. If you watch, let me know what you think! I'm the guy with the BIG cannon, in the black coat and wild goatee.

The producer/director found me on YouTube and dropped me a message asking if I'd like to come out for a day of filming. He said he was kind of impressed by the damage it did to the old car door I had as a target. I took him up on it, and the rest is history.

Excellent news! Hope you gave a good impression as opposed to a couple of "Hold my beer and watch this!" moments
Lucky break from youtube, looking forward to see the results

It's all in the editing, man. There were a lot of definite "hold my beer" moments, as you might expect from a show called Redneck Roadtrip, but in general, the guys from the rest of the group were pretty on it.
The rest of the cannons were all spray-and-prays, with one pneumatic mortar-type thing made with DWV that made me a little nervous... But they never took it over 50psi, so I wasn't THAT worried about it bursting. The hairspray gun were actually pretty well built, cemented, then screwed together at the joins, and they got some pretty good distance out of them.

The DWV, was it ABS or PVC? I found the ABS sewer pipe is pretty tough stuff. I used to test at 70PSI and shoot at 50 or below, but now I test at 100 and shoot at 35-75. See my sig for info on the ABS testing.
I don't have cable or sat TV. Please let us know if the clip is posted online.
Thanks.

Sorry no dvr, but I'm watching as I type.... Probably won't make it through the entire show though seeing as it feels like 1:00 AM (jetlag sucks).
I see you're spud gun has earned the "baddest of them all" tittle
congrats
Best part:
*spraying fuel into spray 'n pray*...."some say more is less but that's just not
the redneck way"

Re-watching the segment now. Shorter than I thought, but still awesome!
And I am now inspired to best myself and create truly the "Baddest Of Them All"! My pennies are now officially being saved for CNC and lathe time to work up my concept recursive-piston valve.
BTW, that little clip of Tater looking down the barrel of my cannon... When he did that, I swear I nearly swallowed my tongue.

Can someone upload the clip somewhere?

Yes, somebody please upload the clip.
All I have is Netflix at the moment and would like to see my fellow spudders on cable TV.

That was amusing! Very well done. I have no way to get it from my DVR to my computer and my camera sucks but I'll try it any way. Batteries are charging now so it will be about hour and a half...

1st try, no sound. 2nd try, poor sound bad framing. Need a tripod so I will see what I can use from the shop and try again tomorrow.
