Here in UK we use BSP and metric mainly and in US you tend to use NPT generally, correct?, but i see alot of chinese fittings with PT threads on, do you use these in the US? what do they fit just other NT threads.? Or are they a fit everything universal thread, but not fit anything correctly?
Just wondering as valves and actuators etc are so much cheaper in China, but I don't want to endanger the safety of myself or others if they are not going to tighten properly, as at the end of the day we can be using rather high pressure air and the air alone can cause injury.
thanks.

If you like the cheap price, don't expect top the line quality. Heavy price tag does not always mean great quality but most of the time you get what you pay.
If you know you're going to use high pressure, go buy paintball fittings, they are BSP.
I used these ebay pneumatic fittings a lot, the QEV probably holds more pressure than you can put into it. The push to connect fittings burst at +30 bar though. They're BSP threaded generally.

Going for decent quality components on my second gun as initially using 130psi ish from compressor but just wasn't giving me what I expected, when you say use paintball components have you a link to the kind of things you are talking of? I thought they used relatively small pipe/fittings?
Just to save starting another thread I have a 0.50" bore barrel for my current project and have managed to get ball bearings and the barrel a perfect match, is 18" too short for a barrel or will it be OK, I am not after accuracy, just power and destruction so I have also purchased a paintball cylinder to give plenty of pressure!!

Even when buying from Europe, almost all pneumatic fittings I found for paintball are 1/8 NPTwyz2285 wrote:If you know you're going to use high pressure, go buy paintball fittings, they are BSP
