Hi everybody.

Does anyone know how much pressure a schrader valve can take before breaking? I am planning to use one with a small pneumatic spud gun to be pumped up by a regular bike pump.

Thanks.

Depends on brand/type/etc I think. The one im going to use for my gun is metal and can hold 225 psi, I saw a normal rubber one in the auto store and can only hold 100 psi.

Yeah i want to get to around 200, i'll make sure to get a metal one then.

Probably be very hard going over 100 psi with a bike pump.

I've saw a rubber HP snap-in that could take 300 psi...

And the metal tank valve can take 300psi

And don't fill a PVC gun to 200psi, mainly not because of the PVC, but because sprinkler valves can't take 200psi, and ball valves are too hard to turn with just 100psi, yet alone 200psi.....

The maximum that actual valve can handel is 500 psi.
But you mostly want to find the max psi of the valve stem.

You can buy schrader valves that are rated up to 3000psi on mcmaster.
