Combustion Fuel

I was wondering about Oxy-acetylene. I had a really bad mistake with it (explosion). Mostly its used for welding torches. Anyone particulary have any knowledge about it, and maybe how to use it safely?

YOU WILL KILL YOURSELF USING THAT!!!! do not ever try that, or anything including oxygen and/or acetylene, stick to propane or mapp gas anything more powerful will likely detonate your chamber, and PVC doesnt show up on and X-ray.......

Ya i wouldnt suggest it, but i used just actylene pretty powerful by its self im geussing it would be even more explosive if used with oxygen. If it exploded what was your chamber made out of must have been pretty weak im thinking. But i dont see any type of gas being strong enough to blow your chamber up(first the cap would blow off the back). I've used gasoline which i thought was more powerful then what your talking about and all it did was blow the cap of the back of my gun. I dont really see a higher risk between regular fuel and what your talking about because both are explosive. Might want to get someone elses educational backed opion though.

the hell it would the pressure spike would probably blow the chamber and the cap at the same time, and as for your using acetylene, dont do it again, because it didnt blow this time doesnt mean it wont blow next time. and i assure you there are many gasses powerful enough to blow your chamber, dont use anything more powerful than propane or mapp unless you want to lose part of yourself....

Thanks guys for correcting me seeing as i dont know what im talking about. Thats why i attached this quote to the end because i wasnt sure if i was right. Dont take my word when talking about highly explosive stuff (for your safety).

well, the chamber didnt blow up, but the connecting pipes did, the chamber is made of SCH. 80, so i wasnt worried about that, but the rest is regulare PVC

Ya i wouldnt try it agian try making a tighter seal and shoot with other fuels. I wouldnt want a chunk of ABS in my stomach (and i dont think you want to either) or anything so dont try it anymore.
