Tonight I went to my brother to show off the re-done sawed-off
( wich is still my best design).
It has a new paintjob and looks better then ever.
We shot some water out of his cannon ( chappy)
and I dry-fired the sawed-off.It has a very clean sharp boom to it.Cleaner than ever before thanx to it's new piston design...

We went back into his house and I pumped it up to see if it would leak over time ( got it to a record 23 bar!!!),
and we prepared to go to my house.

I stepped out of his door and saw three guys
pulling on a burglars tool...
I think it's called a tire iron in english..
The kind you use to force a locked door open.
I couldn't believe the nerve these guys had.
When they saw me one of them dropped the iron
( startled him i guess), he picked it up and they started walking away ,trying to look casual!!!
Then they stopped and wispered among themselves..
.I was thinking....
three bad-guys with a tire iron..
what are they gonna do??
I recently twisted my knee so bad I can hardly walk..
.I'm pretty helpless if they come after me..

Yeah right!!
So there I found myself with the sawed off at record 23 bars of pressure, conceiled in a garbage bag, in one hand...
and a 1"marble in the other.(Well okay I got it out of my pocket first)

I have to admit...I was very tempted...three guys in a row...a real easy target.
You must understand I REALLY hate burglars!!!
Shall I do it..??.shall I do it.??..shall I do it. should I just blank fire and make 'em run,?? should I shoot one in the leg??
All kinds of crazy things went through my mind...But they walked on..

I'm glad I didn't do anything stupid.
I would have put shame on everybody here.
It was a real "getting to know me" moment.


Just so you guys know..I have never shot at anything living..but this was the only time I was tempted.
I'm glad I chose the right path.Remember I was just trying to have a night of fun.

If they had walked onto your property, or your brothers, go for it. I'm not the violent type, but if I was helpless, with a hurt knee, being beaten with a tire iron, I would of defended myself.

I think "crowbar" is another term.

Amusing story though - didn't you intially design your sawn off with some sort of idea of perhaps using it to scare intruders/burglars?

If so, odd co-incidence...

And they weren't on anybody's property, and they weren't beating me...

I would not have let them...trust me...

An odd coincidence indeed...since I was discussing the coolness factor (" it would sure scare off a burglar") with my brother minutes earlier.
He agrees it's cool but still prefers a ubersized cannon over my compact design.
I was like..yeah but you can't move that around indoors like this one!!

Anyway...should I post some more pics of the sawed-off??

I had meant that if they had come on his property, and done that stuff, they would have got what was coming. yes, post more pics using http://www.photobucket.com . that way everyone can see them. my computer is stupid, and wont let me view some of the pics on this site because of the format or something. oh, and why did you have to pump it? dont you have co2?

If someone shot a marble at me and 2 friends, i garrentee we could be all over the shooter before he reloads! It was smart not to pavoke them, you could have gotten a serious ass kicking, more so with a bad knee. Remember, spud guns are NOT good weapons for real fighting! You did the rite thing, but not for reasons spoken of.

Does anyone else agree with me on that?

Thats why you need to make a c02 filled semi auto bolt action launcher.
Add a scope for long range attack.
May a I suggest shooting rock salt??

Most people would'nt know that the gun would only be capable of one shot, I believe if you did take it out of the bag the "assumed" burglars would just run away. See if any of your neighbors got robbed and maybe you can help identify the guys.

There's a good show of control. Myself, I wouldve warned them then shot them if they didnt go off; and with a lack of a reload either used the gun as a club or whipped out my knife if they came closer. Not to give spud gunners a bad name but thats just what I carry as a scare tactic. Most people think i'm carzy anyway.

Anyway, good job in controlling yourself.

You should've pulled the cannon out of the bag to show them why they left...

At night the gun can easily be mistaken for a real pump action.
If I would have hit one of them he would have dropped to the ground immediately.
It's a very powerful little thingy...

Normally I can take on 3 guys ( been a bouncer for 8 years) but with a bad knee I probably can't.
And the crowbar kinda put's me in a disadvantage.


I think if they turned around and came for me, as a witness, I could have scared them of with a blank shot...
