Hey all! Love this site. I saw a video posted on a thread of a piston valve dry firing. The camera was able to see the rubber of the piston pushing out, so it was an exposed view. I have searched forever now, but cannot find it for the life of me! Thanks alot!

Sorry, I was simply wondering if anyone could point me to the video on this forum that I mentioned. The search function is not working for it, and I stumbled on the video late at night and can't find it now. Basically, does anyone have an exposed-view video of a piston valve dry firing? Thanks again

Thanks so much markfh11q, that is exactly what I wanted to see.
Jedwards: Yes, it works really really well.
jrrdw: The ball valve was put there because we didn't know if the sprinkler valve needed to have back pressure to pressurize. I now only use it if I want to make sure it does not leak over a long period of time (this has another secret use, client said I can't tell until later).
This was my first gun, made it before I knew about this great site. The cannon cost me $40 to make, but cost me $310 in damages, I will tell that story later!
Thanks again!

So far it cost you $350.00, that better be one fine working cannon at that price!
Back pressure for the sprinkler valve, good idea.

Very fine indeed! Today it snowed in the northwest where I live, which is pretty rare, and I had the worlds greatest snowball fight. Mind you, I just packed loose snow in the barrell as I did not want the cannon to cost me any more in friend damages! I stopped after about 10 minutes cause the PVC was getting cold and I would like to keep my fingers intact. No PVC rupture here!
