Ok i was just thinking it would be cool to make a chamber out of the newish aluminum beer bottles.
They feel durable enough but i was just wandering if that would even be safe.

What type of can. Show a pic please.

Beer containers have to be capable of containing pressure, so it's probably good for something, in the same way plastic soda bottles are.
The only downside is that aluminum rips pretty darn sharp.

Also how do you think i should attach it like should i tap it and try to put a 1/2 or 3/4 fem adaptors in it?.

err.. jbweld? lol.
I would do a few pressure tests first (i.e. fill them up until they burst, remotely of course).
That should give you and idea of what they're good for.

fit a hose over the lip and put a plumber clamp on it to hold fill from the other end with a pressure gauge and see when it pops.
Of course you will need to do a series of test so get a few cases a bunch of friends one weekend and have fun.
Don’t forget to post what happened. Video would be nice too.

i cant wait.
how thick are the walls? if its over 2.5mm it should have a acceptable pressure rating.

Posative feedback always a good sign. but theres one problem of not having a compressor but i think my gramps has one...

If you tap it in the back and have the barrel coming out the neck, that would flow great. You just need to see if the bottle will accept pressure or not. It it does, tapping it would be easy. Actually i may look into trying this also.

On the SpudTech archives, there (used) to be a cannon using that exact type of bottle as a chamber.

I don't see how one would be able to drill a good hole through glass for the tire stem; it would probably break or crack as you drilled.

as stated in the first post the bottle is aluminum, not glass

The idea of tapping the back seems very implausible. The walls of the bottle are only about as thick as a soda can's...

If a plastic soda bottle can hold 100psi, I think that this should be all right. I would use some 2 part super strength epoxy to glue in a adapter to it, you could all so drill a hole input in a pin to hold it too.
Good luck with it and make sure to get some video of it!
