Melting hot glue?

Whats the best way to melt hot glue? other then a gun.

Double boiler....real.....expensive? WTF, when I was a Cub Scout my dad and I had to make a cake and part of my cake was a chocolate boy scout sign. we took two pots and nested them inside each other and put water in the lower one.
