Can you make it so that the "recent topics" column always shows up on the left side even when you are in a thread? It seems that it's only available from the sub-forum view up, and when you enter a thread it disappears. Just a little something I've always thought would be convenient on this site

Too much work. I love the streamlined nature of how it works on all pages but threads/topics.

The trouble with doing that is it makes it easy to create very long pages if I'm not careful with what shows up on the side. Take a thread with 1-2 posts and the left column is already long, add that and it gets even longer creating a ton of blank space on the page!
