Spaces shouldn't ever really be used on the web in folder names or file names or anything. Always use _ instead 8)Davidvaini wrote:yeah I can give you details, in my Free Graphic Design thread, I was organizing my photobucket account so that all of my Graphics were in one folder. I moved everything and it obviously created broken links.. So I went back to edit my posts to include the correct address.. I tried doing that and this was the result:
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/free-gr ... 18326.html
Go ahead and try to edit it yourself..
Edit: Spudfiles used to put in %20 for spaces automatically for you.. does it not do that with address' anymore? This could be the problem.
Edit X2: yeah It doesnt automatically put %20, I would of swore it did in the past... So yeah, that was the problem.

It's the GVideo and YouTube buttons on the right hand side of the page. You can only embed video from Google Video and YouTube.

That goes in regular webpage html. In forum BBCode, then you take the video URL and fit it within the tags, like this:far_cry wrote:this code go somewhere i dont exactly where
Code: Select all

Not a bad guess that the OS upgrade included a new box from what I saw during the changover.

So I go to sleep (very early in the morning) and I wake up and they give me details to the <b>new server</b> it is on so I can make sure everything is there. I check it out, then I had them <b>switch over the IP's.</b> After that things were more on track, people were seeing the new server and I started to do various updates/tweaks/extra hardening which is what made you guys see various problems as I rebuilt Apache and updated other software and edited zone files, etc. At no time however was SpudFiles really vulnerable, Linux servers when even half way setup are far better off online than an outdated Windows server install.
i know this option . youtube video url i do every time
for example the video above ,look at the lower left corner you will see a word "link" .this word not spuosted to appear when you embed a video ,you just see the video window like he is from the web site (this web site)

Actually it is supposed to appear, because it's in the forum code that it's supposed to!far_cry wrote:this word not spuosted to appear
It's there for if the embedded window doesn't work (because some videos are unembeddable, or it might not work for another reason), so a viewer can watch it on youtube instead.
Also, when that code was written, youtube videos didn't act as a link to themselves.
If you're complaining about a single word under the bottom corner of the video that's there for a good reason, your pedantism approaches the sort of extremes I'm known for...

Well, you know, I use to use the FLASH tag to embed YouTube videos for precisely far_cry's reason.

Has anybody been getting the plain test page lately? I don't see it very often, but since the server rebuild, I have gotten this page once in a while at random. I have seen it only once tonight. It is seen only on the Spudfiles home page, not any of the forum pages. I see it here http://www.spudfiles.com. I have cleared my history and cookies so I shouldn't be seeing this anymore.

Well it is still version 7.0 thus there is no new version to my knowlage thus things should really not be changed when concerning notifications and so on....I think...
