Not jealous at all. That said at the rate I'm going, I'll be in the same position at 22.

I think part of the problem is that as a guest viewing the site you can " lurk off " what ever information you want. I certainly dodn't think it should be made as a pay as you go either but certainly limit what " information " you do have to the memebership of the board and not to just anyone who has internet access.
There always seems to be 15 to 20 guests viewing, believe this or not they are a source of information as are the regulars.
My two cents,
Most forums don't allow you to view pictures or other uploaded files unless you are a registered and signed in member. I find this quite annoying, because sometimes those forums have extremely valuable information to me and I don't want to sign up just to see a friggen picture... so I'm glad we don't require that, because if I were someone looking for knowledge and examples of what to do and advice on how to do it, I'd want easy access to it. Just think about it this way- if our information is private and someone is too lazy to sign up to view it, they might build a cannon using a DWV cleanout cap and have their face blown off

Agreeded, I would hate to see anyone get hurt because of a lack of information. I hadn't thought of that aspect but it makes sense. It what i really like about this site. Although I have seen barbs fly on the hole, they are given in fun.

My eldest has revived my spudding "career".
Kids are not the end.
That is if you properly raise them to become the SF alternative to anti Skynet resistance fighters...

That is exactly the plan. Lots of guns, hunting, cars, and motorbikes from an early age. Also making stuff and going outside, fighting with sticks etc, that's how I grew up, got the scars to prove it.

I have two boys who are techno geeks, xbox360, ipods, iphones ... I say they are mine but the truth is they belong to the fiancee, but i treat them like my own.
Took them mackeral fishing and they caught a slew of them ... now as soon as i get home they are standing in the driveway rods and geer ready as soon as i get home.
Fun is more than electronics that is why i can't wait to get the cannon done, sourcing some of the parts is a little harder here, Home Despot is now carrying the ecogreen PVC and the schedul 40 is becoming harder to find.

Will take some getting used to. Sometimes change for the sake of change is not a good thing....but then I AM a grumpy old git.
Don't care for the banner at the top. Have no good suggestions for a replacement though.
Forum is running smoother.
Would rather have the "full editor" only for posting.
