Are We Mad?

I'll start off by saying I have Ammosmokes permission to share the following privet message with the forum --
ammosmoke wrote:
I know MrCrowley is generally in a good mood. I have messaged him many times. You just seemed to be in a bad mood lately.
Naaa, not in a bad mood at all. Members just get that idea when their post gets modded, or their ask to stay on topic. It's the classic forman worker conflick, (for a lack of better words).
I'm glad you PMed me back with this, thanks.
Mind if I use this PM in a website discussion posted thread?
I think this is importent to remember, the only thing that makes
me mad is when members can't seem to follow very simple request/instruction.
In a recent thread 'Sticky Piston' I left one very simple instruction, "Stay on topic guys" and what did some members do? They posted off topic! I said I would delete anything off topic with out notice, and so I did. Thats the kind of thing that makes
me mad.
That being said, I want members to know just because we do the moderating task does not mean we are mad, please remember this.
Have a great day.....

I really don't think that any of the mods have appeared to be mad latley. Even if it appears that you are you are just doing your job because some people can't follow simple posting rules.

You're not mad... you're just slightly angered. 8)

hey i understand you
i want everybody to know that it was me that posted off topic after he said that in the "sticky piston" thread.
but i also told him to delete it after he has read it because it was for jrrdw
i felt it would just be a long pm'ing job to say it there, ending at the point where i got banned so i did not go against him to much on thet and it was just a "joke"
sorry if you took that the way you said above if you meant me, not going to happend again

This thread is probably half because of me.
But I voted no, I dont think you are mad.
And yes in the sticky piston thread I didnt listen to your stay on topic post because I wanted to voice my opinion.
I have no problem with you yourself, I just think you should be a little more selective on what posts you delete.

i am a little bit agree with bob.. you are more strict (wrong word?) than any other mods and admin.
Edit: forgot the spelling on "strict"

If I got mad every time I had to straiten someone out around here I would never come around, as I would constantly be angry.
There are some people that get me mad, but thy usually don't last for more than a dozen posts, so I usually don't worry too much about it.
Of course, I get into plenty of heated debates with some members, but that is probably farther from anger and closer to love

Bob, your post in that thread had nothing to do with sticky pistons, thats why it got deleted. Then in the same thread you posted a complaint about me and the way I'm moderating, so it also got deleted, twice. Bob, don't do that again (repost a post that gets deleted).
I post this here instead of PM so all members can learn from it. I have nothing against you or any other member, I wish us all to get along well together, learn from each other and all have a good time in the process.

I don't really think you guys are mad, you just have a lot of work to do. As for the off-topic stuff, I don't really mind having it, only what confuses me is when something has been deleted and there are many responses to it,which can be difficult to understand. Also, I am the recent culprit of bumping my own topic, which was kind of a grey area for me, it's in the rules not to do, but so many people do it (and get away with it). I think the mods are doing a great job of keeping the forum clean, but maybe being a little less strict sometimes would be nice. Just my two cents.
Just to clarify, I don't think my own bumping thing is what you are being too strict on, just lately it seems like there have been threads covered in red writing.

jrrdw the main difference between you and other mods is that you do everything in a too intrusive manner... what is more, you deal with minor problems like off-topic posts etc. and you delete them... the real problem is that it does not solve anything... first of all you get responeses like "why did you deleted my post?!" and then you start topic explaining this... as a result there are more offtopic posts (like this one - it has nothing to do with spudguns)...
all in all you get annoyed, people get annoyed at you and it does not change anything...

Yes you are mad
We wouldn´t want sane people moderating this forum now would we?
It would help if we all would actually listen to their advice and ask our questions through PM.
Now lock this and we can all get over it.

I think they are a bit mad because some of the users are stubborn-In an EXTREMELY STUPID WAY).

Mods should have a good sense of humor.
I do not know why this is relevant to this topic.. but it will become clear soon enough.
