Thanks to Brian The Brain for coming up with this contest!
Hi all!
I would like to open a "favorite gun on the site " election.
Rules are as followed:
1. Any cannon, built by a Spudfiles member can be nominated to enter the election, as long as it's NOT your own!
2. Post your favorite cannon, with a link, in this thread, I will later post a poll, so everybody can vote for their favorite, members can nominate more then 1 cannon. Brian the Brain says "3". Please list how many cannons you have nominated, so it's easier to keep track of.
Example: This is my 1st of 3.
It's up to the individual member to make the choice. Be sure not to nominate a cannon some one else has or you will be wasting a choice. Each cannon that is nominated will only be listed once in the poll.
3.No other posts ( the "wow that's my favorite too" or, "no man that thing sucks" kind) are allowed as not to crowd this thread.
4.Once I post the nominees in a poll, no new entries are accepted.
5.End date is 1st of February 2012
6.Cast your vote JUST once! There is no price involved so don't cheat!
And please just nominate the really good ones....
Re-live the 1st contest here. The voting and entries took place here.

1st: The Gauntlet of Clara Ann, by Radiation.
2nd: Fnord's Hybrid
3rd: STV Version 2, by clide.
It's a shame we can't include archive posts, as I would have included clide's coaxial chamber sealing cannon.

All of his guns are impressive. I felt an urge to nominate his semiauto but let's be honest - this looks a lot better. I could have nominated his hammer valve sniper rifle, as it's pretty impressive too, but again I am not into hammer valve guns (and I like how he used standard parts on this one)

Mine wou HAVE to be this, it's TOO awesome, because he built it COMPLETELY out of household items, or items that were cheap, and readily availible!!

My favorite is not posted in the showcase. It is a biggest baddest hybrid here. In leu of the showcase link, below is a damage photo.
I nominate D_Hall's Pipe Dream, now named VERA.

In any event, the Pipe Dream is (if it ever gets built) a 19" bore 2X hybrid designed to shoot a 100 pound projectile at 1000 fps.
Damage:
A 4" diameter projectile traveled through 4 sheets of 0.25" steel separated by a total of 8 feet of water (ie, target was an 8000 gallon water tank with internal baffles), hit the ground pretty hard, skipped into the air and landed about 100 meters away.
