I live in Pennsylvania, US of A. Ill be making a pnuematic coaxial bazooka as soon as I have the time, funds, and permission. As for the silencer, I can not be sure, as I don't have a decible tester. I am only going by the difference in sound, and my sibling's word that they didn't hear the silenced shots indoors. As for range/ consistancy, I have not tested it yet, for lack of potatoes and the time and space to do it. Ill probably try tomarrow, and edit the main post with damage pics and the info.

All I have for range right now is 4 shots of baked potato halves, a milk cap, and a wad of paper. The potatoes only shot 50 - 60 yards, spraying in many pieces. I am hoping this is because they were soft from baking, and not because of the 4'' of fluted barrel. What do you think? My parents are pretty keen on not wasting potatoes, but i'll nab a couple soon. Milk cap went about 40 yards, and same for the tight wad of paper.

Hey everybody, i am back. I didn't do muck today, because I have a life other than spudding, but I mannaged to clean the gun's look up a bit. I rewired the chamber, (larger spark now!) gave it a shiny coat of paint, and secured the handels on better. I am unsure wether I should cover the duct tape in electical tape. I want a professional look (less ghetto, lol) but I like the silver color. recomendations?

Also, I am looking to rename the gun. "mr. potato gun" is a little cheesy, so I am looking for a cool acronym. It looks like an RPG, so I thought RPP or RPS - rocket propelled potato/spud. However, I think it needs a vowel. ARPP (Advanced Rocket Propelled Potato) or HARPP (Highly Advanced) maybe? Although my gun is not "highly advanced" I think that soulds neat. Suggestions, please?

Here's a pic.

Chaos- yeah, I know how to make PVC rockets, but I would probably lose 'em pretty quick. Nerf is an option, though - I think we have a couple foam rockets somewhere

This is the repainting in progress. I cleaned up the chamber, rewired and insulated it, and now I get a much larger spark. Should I cover the whole chamber in black electric tape? I want a professional look, but I like the silver color

Here is the rewired chamber. I know it is not much of a differance, but the light, fan, and spark are MUCH more reliable now.

Do not put in mouth, BWAHAHAHAHA! I love it. That's a nice cannon man, I like it. The decals are sweet. What did you do for the silencer?

Lol, I found a warning label maker online. Perfect.

1.5'' extender drilled with holes, with modified 2'' pipe to act as a coupling to the main barrel. 3'' outer cover, filled with cotton to act as muffler. Modified 3'' to 1.5'' couplings to hold it together and keep it airtight

edit - thx, da pneu kid!

Lol, anyways, what is a good acronym for my gun? HARPP? Highly advanced (lol) Rocket Propelled Potato?

And should I cover the chamber in electrical tape or paint it black?

I almost named mine ETAA, Experimental Tuber Acceleration Apparatus.

EDIT: But you couldn't really call it rocket propelled, cause it's not. Perhaps combustion-propelled.

ETAA... thats pretty good. You didn't use it then? Ill probably think about the name while I go to bed- I was up til 3am last night! I will probably test the gun more extensively tomarro - I bought a 25 pound bag of taters today. I think I will cover the chamber in electrical tape also.
