Here is my take on NoName's horizontal vortex(hortex block??) BBMG.
Though the concept is basically the same, the configuration is slighty different. I went with under/over as opposed to inline just because it seemed like a logical choice in reducing the overall size.

The gun is made from 1.5" pvc-pw, and the fittings are dwv. They are not cell core, however, so I have not and should not encounter any problems.
The block is glued into the bottom of the elbow.

The gun lives up to what is expected of a bbmg; so much so that I have "decomissioned" it because of the massive amount of ammo it goes through (don't worry, I didn't scrap it, I just stashed it away).

The only thing I can complain about it is once the spring is extended fully the ROF gets a bit choppy and sometimes needs a swift hit to un-jam.

Here's some pictures:

nice, but what is the hole in the center of the block?

Yes, the bbs are .177 cal, but the block is pvc. there is a bit of epoxy on it because i screwed up when making it.

I used a .75" wood drill bit so the hole is where the predrilling tip went through the bottom. I sealed it up afterwards.

nice, but what is the hole in the center of the block?
its a side strafer like the one noname made, the vortex block is tilted on its side, and the hole in the block is the vortex hole

looking very nice I have to say, though in performance terms not really any different from other BBMG configurations I presume?

Well, it *appears* to shoot faster than the half-hole vortex gun I made, and it also seems a bit more reliable in terms of jamming.
I cant really get solid rps numbers out of it because I don't have the technology.

However, I do have an idea that could potentially change bbmgs forever. Right now I'm keeping it under wraps until I get a chance to build a functioning gun and compare the results. (It might show up in the next contest)

Ha! It's catching!
Your's looks pretty good, but you'll never beat clear square tubing as the chamber. The damage looks like you have either a very inaccurate barrel or a very unsteady hand. :D

Nah, I was just trying to carve out a square. Sorta worked :?
The grouping on this gun is probably about a square foot at 50 feet away, save for the occasional stray.
