Hey guys,
Is it possible to bore out the end of a brass compression fitting to allow the pipe to slide through or will that totally ruin the fitting?, would make making a copper piston gun a hell of a lot easier.

I did something similar with a brass pin valve on a paintball co2 tank. It worked but I was only boring it out to 10mm. I think it would be a too hard with anything above that unless you had a milling machine or lathe.

I have succesfully scraped the stop out of many, many compression fittings, using a pair of siscors (spelling???)
I have found them to be ideal for such a job.Just slowly turn one of the blades, it works on brass as well as plastics.

Thanks alot for that Brian. You were the one in the 1st place who got me into the thought of using compression fittings (I hate soldering, dunno how to do it and don't have the gear to do it)
Because compression fittings for a 5/16th tube is just too hard to find, I'm gonna get some 3/8th and just sleave it in. It should work fine.
