What kind of valve is used in paintball guns? Has everywhone maded some kind of valve?

It's usually a spring or solenoid operated hammer that physically knocks the valve open for a split second to release a small amount of gas from the reservoir.

You can see a good animation of how it works here ;)

It is made out of pressure rated steel, and the internals are made with great presicion.

Hmm some paintball guns look easy to make maybe a next project :D . Has anywhone ever made this kind of valve's ?

Normally series 7000 aluminium actually. Depends on the marker. You must understand it takes a lot of machining to make a paintball marker.

I now it will be a project if I have some time free. The material I well use is PVC because I don't work with super hich pressure's.
