new idea for airsoft barrel out of carbon fiber arrow shaft
heres something i recently stumbled apon for ari soft if you take a carbon arrow shaft and carefully cut off the arrow head as to not splinter the carbon fiber and do the same with the nock air soft pellets fit perfectly in the inside of those hollow arrow shafts i and it works really good as a airsoft blow gun barrel . with a mouth full of pellets i can shoot faster than fully auto airsoft rifles
Don't they make arrow shafts in different sizes (diameter)? I know they make aluminum ones. Anyway, find a nifty way to secure it to the rest of the gun and go for it.
They wrap aluminum or steel paintball tanks in carbon fiber.

Actually, I am pretty sure that they make tanks that are just carbon fiber....

Redhead Carbon Fury 4560 shafts are PERFECT.
And no, I was once bored and pressurized the arrow shaft and it held 20 psi, I didn't want to go above and risk stretching it.

ammosmoke you are correct i almost ordered a carbon fiber tank for a dragster that used commprssed air althogh i dont know if they make paintball tanks out of it as it would need to be fairly expensive. And i have used arrow barrels before i think brake line is better.

They do make carbon fiber airtanks for paintball. I was under the impression that they were all carbon fiber. Otherwise, what's the point? All its going to do is add weight to the metal tank inside,,,, Of course, it does look cool, but that's an aweful big waste of money if its just aluminium with a bit of carbon over the top.... I would buy a carbon fiber tank because it was light.

well the tank i was going to buy was 2 gallons volume and was going to cost me about 250 dollars and would hold about 1000 psi safely so a full carbon fiber paint ball tank would probaly be like 85-100 dollars possibly more. but a thin layer around alluminum wouldnt be too bad.
