
At the very low pressures that you're using, a good taping job should prevent most leaks in a BSP - NPT connection. When you start getting into multiple hundreds of psi, things need to be done right.
NPT and BSP threads maybe, but pipe sizes are not so compatible. HEAL doesn't use threads to attach the barrels, the pipe base is held into a modified solder pipe fitting, and the tight tolerances between the pipe size and fitting size are required to create good seal. I've never used spellcheck on a post for months. My grammar is the way it is not because I go over and correct it afterwards, but because I naturally write like that. Reading is a probably a better way to improve your language skills than English class anyway.
