Quick Question
Hi all. I have just joined and ave a quick question. Im planning to build a Semi-Auto similar to Jacks one here. I was just wondering if there would be any difference if i changed the input flow into a shrader. As I onlyhave a car tyre inflator atm. Also how well would a co2 bike pump work on it?

It could work, technically that design allows a certain pressure buildup before the gas can escape through the barrel. What materials were you planning on using, that type of construction requires a certain level of experience to get right, but there are other ways of making the same design depending on what you have access to.
A co2 inflator should last for a good number of shots - with constant flow it was good enough in this case for a small BBMG.

Well a Syringe lol, My Dad is a Lab Analyst like you =P. I have an extremely low Budget. As I Just spent my money overseas. I dont really know what materials at the moment. Although most likely a brake line for the barrel. Id really like it to work though, as it is now near impossible to get a BB Gun in Australia. Im hoping for some decent power.

Cool, then you have some common sense to assist you
If you intend to use epoxy, I strongly recommend checking out my advice on casting and making pistons - it's worth investing a bit of money getting proper epoxy, if it will help getting financial backing then I might point out that good adhesive has 1001 other uses around the house, my family has a constant list of broken shoes, ornaments, door handles etc. that need repairing.

You're refering to one of these, yes?
While it has greatly reduced flow compared to the blowgun I used, the CO2 is at higher pressure so you should be fine in terms of performance.

Yes I am referring to one of those and thats good to hear that it will perform fine. I was just wondering where you got your spring. I cant find any around the house (Havent had the chance to go out since I came across this site (last night). Sorry for kind of just copying you. But I thought I should go for something that has been proven to work for my first project.

To be honest I think this is a little too advanced as a first project, but suit yourself. I have no idea where the spring came from, I keep a box of components from various appliances I regularly dismantle
