This is a cannon that I built this weekend.
It has a 3" sch-40 chamber with a few barrels to go with it.
It uses a sprinkler valve+valve lid+blowgun.
Future barrels to come include one for tennis balls.
Its a moderately powered cannon that is easy and fun to shoot.
Heres the cannon plus its other barrels

Looks like fun. Nice clean construction.
Just out of curiosity, but why did you use a different valve top for your valve?

Nice and straightforward, good job
I'd sell it for material cost + $20 labour - put things into perspective, for less than 75 bucks you can buy a Crosman rifle, and what you've made is much more powerful in terms of muzzle energy, so you can demand a bit more dough for your trouble - maybe some damage demonstrations will convince the prospective buyer of the worth of his/her investment.
Just make sure the buyer is someone with enough common sense not to get you into trouble if the launcher is misused, a few disclaimer stickers and perhaps a signed contract would help your cause.

good idea, I might print out some stickers to slap on the chamber with basic safety and precautions+ operating instructions.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:Nice and straightforward, good job

i personally wouldnt buy it only for the reason that i get more satisfaction out of shooting a cannon and having it work well, and knowing that i made the entire thing... but i agree with jack make sure you get money for your labor, and definately make sure that if the buyer is an idiot and blows himself up that you will not get blamed in anyway.

does that 1" valve give you decent power for golf balls?
I have taken apart my 2" ball valve GB gun and am changing it to over under and am pondering on the use of one rather than paying 80$ for a 1.5" valve.

With the blowgun tapped directly into the valve, several feet of barrel and a correspondingly high chamber volume coupled with pressures in the region of 150psi should give you very respectable performance.Carlman wrote:does that 1" valve give you decent power for golf balls?

Less flow in theory but it makes up for it in practice by faster opening time, that and it will be a lot more accurate to shoot.Carlman wrote: I have 6' of barrel..and 5'of 2" chamber, should be good right , I mean better than a 2" ball valve lol

If you decided to sell it put a pop off valve in there too. With a gauge. Also where did you get your clear primer and glue.
